Stegripe Discord Bots Agreement

Effective date: October 15, 2026

This Discord Bots Agreement (the "Agreement") governs your use of Discord bots that are developed, operated, distributed, or maintained by Stegripe. By inviting, adding, using, or interacting with a Stegripe bot, or by signing in to Stegripe services with your Discord account, you agree to this Agreement.

1. Definitions

  • "Stegripe," "we," "us," and "our" mean Stegripe and its divisions, including Stegripe Development, together with PT Stegripe Group Indonesia, the official corporate entity supporting Stegripe's legal, infrastructure, digital services, and business operations.
  • "Bot" means any Discord application that Stegripe develops, operates, distributes, or maintains. Examples are the Stegripe-hosted instance of Rawon, Nantuck, and bots Stegripe runs for partner or client communities.
  • "Hosted Bot" means a Bot instance that Stegripe itself runs and controls.
  • "Self-Hosted Copy" means a copy of a Bot's source code that someone other than Stegripe runs, modifies, or deploys.
  • "Server" means a Discord server (guild) where a Bot is present.
  • "Server Administrator" means any person with permission to add, configure, or remove a Bot in a Server.
  • "User" or "you" means anyone who uses or interacts with a Bot, including Server Administrators.

2. Scope

2.1. This Agreement applies to the Hosted Bots and to Stegripe services that use Discord sign-in.

2.2. Self-Hosted Copies are governed by the license in the relevant source repository, not by this Agreement. Stegripe does not operate Self-Hosted Copies and is not responsible for them. The person running a Self-Hosted Copy is solely responsible for its operation, configuration, data handling, and compliance with Discord's terms.

2.3. Some Bots are built for a specific community or client. Where that community or client has its own rules, those rules apply alongside this Agreement within that community.

2.4. Bots that customers develop themselves and host through Stegripe's hosting services are not Stegripe Bots. They are not covered by this Agreement.

2.5. This Agreement is in addition to, and does not replace, Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Privacy Policy, which also apply whenever you use Discord.

3. Eligibility

3.1. You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement in your country and be permitted to use Discord.

3.2. You may not use the Bots if Discord or Stegripe has prohibited you from doing so, including through a ban, blacklist, or suspension.

4. Permitted Use

4.1. Subject to this Agreement, Stegripe grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the Hosted Bots through Discord for their intended purposes.

4.2. Server Administrators may add a Hosted Bot to a Server only through its official invite link or another method Stegripe provides. Some Bots are private and may only be used in Servers that Stegripe authorizes.

4.3. Stegripe may limit, gate, or restrict features, commands, or usage at its discretion. This includes features that require particular Discord roles, Server membership, or account status.

5. Server Administrator Responsibilities

If you add or configure a Bot in a Server, you are responsible for:

  • granting only the permissions the Bot needs, and reviewing those permissions periodically;
  • configuring moderation, welcome, logging, auto-role, request-channel, and similar features appropriately for your Server;
  • informing your members, where appropriate, that the Bot is present and what it does;
  • making sure the Bot's use in your Server complies with Discord's terms and the laws that apply to you;
  • the outcome of moderation actions (such as warnings, mutes, timeouts, kicks, or bans) taken through the Bot by your Server's staff or by automated features you enabled; and
  • removing the Bot if you no longer agree to this Agreement.

6. User Responsibilities

When you use a Bot, you agree to:

  • use it only for lawful purposes and in line with Discord's terms and the rules of the Server you are in;
  • be responsible for any content you submit, request, or play through it, such as commands, messages, links, search queries, media, and AFK messages;
  • respect the rights of others, including copyright and privacy rights; and
  • report bugs, vulnerabilities, or abuse to Stegripe instead of exploiting them.

7. Prohibited Activities

You must not, and must not help anyone else to:

  1. use a Bot to harass, threaten, spam, raid, defraud, or impersonate anyone;
  2. use a Bot to distribute malware, phishing links, scams, or illegal content;
  3. use a Bot to play, download, share, or display content you have no right to use, or otherwise use it to infringe intellectual property rights;
  4. send excessive or automated command volumes, deliberately trigger rate limits, or otherwise degrade a Bot's performance for others;
  5. probe, scan, reverse engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to a Bot, its hosting infrastructure, databases, tokens, or credentials;
  6. bypass or attempt to bypass permission checks, developer-only commands, blacklists, feature gates, or other access controls;
  7. exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for any purpose other than responsibly reporting them to Stegripe;
  8. use a Bot to collect, scrape, or harvest data about other Users without a lawful basis and their consent where required;
  9. resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to a Hosted Bot without Stegripe's prior written permission; or
  10. misrepresent a Self-Hosted Copy, a modified version, or any other bot as an official Stegripe Bot.

8. Data and Privacy

8.1. Information processed. Depending on which Bot you use and which features are enabled, Stegripe may process:

  • Discord identifiers such as user IDs, Server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, and message IDs;
  • Server configuration, such as prefixes, language, role and channel settings, welcome and goodbye messages, and feature toggles;
  • moderation records, such as warnings (including reasons and the moderator's ID), mutes, hidden-user records, and blacklist entries;
  • feature data, such as AFK statuses and messages, reaction-role settings, tags, invite links, and temporary voice channel ownership;
  • on music Bots, playback settings and state, such as DJ role, request-channel settings, volume, loop, shuffle, and filter settings, and the current queue (including requested tracks and the text and voice channels in use);
  • content that you send to a Bot, or that the Bot needs to read, to perform a requested or enabled function, such as commands, search queries, and messages checked by anti-spam, anti-invite, or anti-phishing features;
  • cached audio files, on music Bots that have audio caching enabled; and
  • operational logs needed to run, secure, and troubleshoot the Bots.

8.2. Discord sign-in and access checks. When you sign in to Stegripe services with Discord, Stegripe receives the basic account information that Discord shares under the permissions you approve. If you choose an option that also adds you to the Stegripe Discord server, Stegripe uses the permission you grant to Discord for that purpose. A Stegripe Bot may also check whether you are a member of specific Servers or display a specific server tag, when a Stegripe service you use depends on that status.

8.3. Purpose. Stegripe uses this information only to provide, secure, moderate, maintain, and improve the Bots and related Stegripe services, and to enforce this Agreement. Stegripe does not sell your personal information.

8.4. Retention. Stegripe keeps information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Some Bots automatically remove a Server's stored configuration and feature data once the Bot is no longer in that Server. Moderation, abuse-prevention, and blacklist records may be kept longer where needed to enforce this Agreement or protect others. Cached audio files are used only to support playback.

8.5. Third parties. Bots run on Discord's platform and may rely on third-party services, such as hosting providers and media sources (for example, YouTube, Spotify, or SoundCloud on music Bots). Those services process data under their own terms and policies, and Stegripe does not control them.

8.6. Security. Stegripe takes reasonable measures to protect the information it processes. However, no system is completely secure, and Stegripe cannot guarantee absolute security.

8.7. Your requests. You may ask Stegripe to access or delete information associated with your Discord account by contacting Stegripe as described in Section 17. Stegripe may keep certain records, such as moderation, abuse-prevention, and blacklist records, where needed to enforce this Agreement, protect others, or comply with law.

9. Content and Media

9.1. Content you submit through a Bot remains yours or belongs to its respective owner. You grant Stegripe permission to process that content only as far as needed to operate the requested feature.

9.2. Media played, downloaded, searched, or displayed through a Bot comes from third-party sources. Stegripe does not own that content and does not endorse it.

9.3. You alone are responsible for making sure you have the right to access, play, or share any content you request through a Bot.

10. Intellectual Property and Licensing

10.1. Stegripe and its licensors keep all rights in the Bots, including their source code, names, logos, mascots (such as Nantuck), artwork, and documentation, except where a published license grants rights to you.

10.2. Where a Bot's source code is published, your rights to use, copy, modify, or distribute that code are governed only by the license in its repository. For example, Rawon's source code is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license. This Agreement does not expand or reduce the rights granted by any such license.

10.3. Discord and its related names, logos, and marks belong to Discord Inc. Other third-party names, services, and marks belong to their respective owners. Stegripe Bots are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. or any third-party media service unless expressly stated.

10.4. If you send Stegripe feedback or suggestions, Stegripe may use them without any obligation to you.

11. Availability, Changes, and Discontinuation

11.1. The Hosted Bots are provided on an "as available" basis. They may be interrupted, slowed, or unavailable because of maintenance, updates, hosting issues, Discord outages, Discord API changes, third-party service changes, or other causes.

11.2. Stegripe may add, change, restrict, or remove features, commands, and limits at any time, with or without notice.

11.3. Stegripe may stop operating any Hosted Bot, temporarily or permanently, and may remove a Bot from any Server.

12. Enforcement, Suspension, and Termination

12.1. If Stegripe reasonably believes that you or a Server has violated this Agreement, created a risk for Stegripe or other Users, or exposed Stegripe to legal liability, Stegripe may take any of the following actions:

  • issue a warning;
  • restrict or disable specific features;
  • blacklist a User or Server from using one or more Bots;
  • remove a Bot from a Server; or
  • report the conduct to Discord or to the appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.

12.2. Stegripe may act without prior notice where needed to prevent harm, abuse, or ongoing violations.

12.3. You may stop using the Bots at any time. Server Administrators may remove a Bot from their Server at any time.

12.4. Sections 9, 10, 13, 14, and 16 survive any termination of this Agreement.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Bots are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Stegripe does not warrant that moderation, anti-spam, or anti-phishing features will detect or prevent every harmful action or message.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stegripe, its divisions, staff, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, members, content, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Bots. This includes actions taken by a Bot under configurations set by Server Administrators. Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

15. Changes to This Agreement

Stegripe may update this Agreement from time to time and will update the effective date above when it does. Significant changes may also be announced through Stegripe's official channels. If you keep using the Bots after the updated Agreement takes effect, you accept the changes. If you do not agree, stop using the Bots and remove them from any Server you manage.

16. General Provisions

16.1. Applicable law. This Agreement is governed by applicable law. Nothing in this Agreement limits any rights you have under laws that cannot be waived or limited by contract.

16.2. Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions remain in effect.

16.3. No waiver. If Stegripe does not enforce a provision, that does not waive its right to enforce it later.

16.4. Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under this Agreement. Stegripe may transfer its rights and obligations as part of a reorganization, merger, or transfer of the relevant Bot.

16.5. Entire agreement. This Agreement, together with any rules and licenses it refers to, is the entire agreement between you and Stegripe regarding the Hosted Bots.

16.6. Language. This Agreement is written in English. If it is translated, the English version prevails in case of any conflict.

17. Contact

For questions, privacy requests, abuse reports, or security reports, contact Stegripe at [email protected] or through the Stegripe Discord server.
